Mr Shameen Jaunoo is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Surgeon with specialist expertise in general, upper GI, and minimally-invasive techniques. He holds multiple advanced qualifications including BSc(Hons), MBBS(Lond), ChM (Distinction), FRCS(Eng), MBA, MFSTEd, and a PGCert in Clinical Research.
He completed his medical degree at St. Bartholomew’s & The Royal London School of Medicine. During his studies, he carried out pancreatic cancer research and developed a strong foundation in laboratory medicine. He pursued postgraduate surgical training in the West Midlands, gaining deep experience in liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, trauma care, bariatric surgery, and advanced upper GI procedures.
Mr Jaunoo enhanced his surgical training at prestigious institutions, including UCSF in California and Oxford University Hospitals, where he served as Senior Clinical Fellow. His global exposure enables him to deliver cutting-edge care that meets international standards.
Driven by a passion for research, Mr Jaunoo founded multiple surgical research groups and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. As an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, he has taught and examined at several UK universities, including Bristol, Kent, Warwick, and Oxford. His dedication to surgical education earned him nominations for “Surgical Tutor of the Year” twice at Oxford University Medical School.
