Dr Joshua Janvier GP Leeds UK plays a central role in one of Leeds’ most dynamic General Practices, providing expert care to over 44,000 university students while mentoring the next generation of General Practitioners. Our practice is built on a commitment to education, accessibility, and high clinical standards. Consequently, students receive excellent care while GP Registrars gain the skills they need to succeed.
GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors with prior hospital experience. However, transitioning into General Practice presents new challenges and responsibilities. For this reason, we offer comprehensive, real-world training supported by senior clinicians.
Moreover, our Registrars conduct consultations and manage cases under close supervision. In addition, they receive ongoing feedback to refine their communication and clinical judgment. As a result, they develop into confident, well-rounded GPs who are ready to work independently.
Our practice is home to 21 doctors—14 women and 7 men—each bringing extensive knowledge and passion for General Practice. Furthermore, our clinicians are driven by the opportunity to support students through important life stages.
Likewise, the entire team promotes a respectful, supportive environment. Despite the demands of a large student population, we maintain continuity and personalised care. For this reason, students trust us with their physical and mental health needs.
We currently provide healthcare to over 44,000 students living and studying across Leeds. Consequently, our services are tailored to young adult needs, including mental health care, sexual health, chronic condition management, and preventative screenings.
In addition to our doctors, more than 70 administrative and clinical support staff keep the practice running smoothly. Moreover, they manage appointment bookings, medical records, and follow-ups efficiently. Hence, every patient experience is organised and responsive.
Although our practice is one of the largest in the UK, we remain focused on personal care. In contrast to impersonal healthcare systems, we emphasise trust, accessibility, and continuity in every interaction.
