Benedict Blunt Psychotherapist Norwich offers a warm, responsive, and evidence-informed approach to psychotherapy. I integrate Humanistic and Psychodynamic perspectives with the latest insights from neuroscience. This fusion creates a thoughtful, flexible therapeutic process that adapts to individual needs.
Clients typically attend 50-minute sessions on a weekly basis. However, I also accommodate variations in frequency based on what best supports the work. While I primarily work in-person, I offer video and telephone sessions when needed. This adaptability ensures that therapy fits around life’s demands while remaining effective and grounded in connection.
My work is always co-created with each client. I see the therapeutic relationship as a unique and evolving process. It cannot be standardized. Every person brings a distinct story, and I tailor the therapeutic journey accordingly. Because of this, no two sessions look the same.
Through an integrative lens, I draw on different schools of thought and modalities, all supported by current neuroscience. This approach allows for deep, meaningful work that leads to lasting change. I believe strongly in collaboration and mutual respect within the therapeutic space.
My journey began in 2004 when I completed both a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. In 2010, I earned an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy. Since then, I have worked across diverse settings in London, Zurich, and now Norwich.
Over the years, I’ve held senior clinical roles in the NHS, the Prison Service, and a Children’s Charity. This broad experience enables me to work comfortably with clients from all walks of life. Whether it’s individuals, couples, or corporate clients, my experience spans age groups and backgrounds.
As an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, I support clients facing a wide range of challenges. These include:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
Bereavement and grief
Addiction and eating disorders
Relationship difficulties, divorce, or family breakdown
Identity exploration and self-esteem
Workplace stress and life transitions
My work also includes training and supervising professionals such as social workers, therapists, prison officers, and teachers. I continue to engage in professional development to expand my skills and knowledge.
I work with:
Individuals seeking personal growth or support
Couples navigating challenges or deepening connection
Organisations investing in staff wellbeing
Sessions can take place face-to-face, via video, or over the phone. This flexibility helps clients maintain consistent support, regardless of location or life changes.
Therapy is a deeply personal process. With over two decades of experience and an integrative, research-informed foundation, I provide a calm and grounded space for meaningful change. If you’re ready to take the next step, I welcome you to connect with Benedict Blunt Psychotherapist Norwich.
