Dr David Richmond GP Leeds UK plays a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare and supporting the development of future GPs. At our Leeds-based practice, we care for over 44,000 university students while training doctors to become confident, capable General Practitioners. Consequently, we’ve built a practice where education and patient wellbeing go hand in hand.
GP Registrars are doctors who have already completed several years in hospital-based roles. However, they transition into General Practice to focus on long-term, community-driven care. For this reason, our practice offers in-depth, hands-on training with senior GP supervision.
Moreover, our Registrars gain practical experience through real consultations. In addition, they receive ongoing feedback, helping them grow in clinical decision-making, patient interaction, and continuity of care. As a result, they leave fully prepared for the challenges of modern primary care.
Our practice is home to 21 dedicated doctors—14 women and 7 men—each bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge and passion for General Practice. Furthermore, many of our GPs have additional interests and specialisms, creating a rich learning environment for both patients and trainees.
Likewise, our team values the chance to support a younger patient population. Despite the high number of appointments, we maintain personalised and attentive care. For this reason, our patients feel heard, respected, and supported at every stage.
We currently provide healthcare to more than 44,000 students across Leeds’ universities and colleges. Consequently, our services are tailored to student-specific health concerns—ranging from mental health and sexual health to long-term condition management and preventative screening.
In addition to our clinical team, we have over 70 support staff managing administration, reception, and care coordination. Moreover, their efforts ensure the practice operates smoothly and efficiently. Hence, students benefit from accessible, timely, and reliable healthcare.
Although our practice is large, our patient-first culture remains central. In contrast to other healthcare settings, we prioritise continuity, compassion, and quality in every interaction.
