Dr Maryam Aljimni GP Leeds UK heads a forward-looking practice committed to both student wellness and the professional development of future GPs. We proudly care for over 44,000 students in Leeds while mentoring doctors who are transitioning into General Practice. Consequently, we offer a unique and impactful healthcare environment.
GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have spent years working in hospital settings. However, they aim to refine their skills in the more personal, community-based field of General Practice. For this reason, our practice provides real-world experience and structured guidance.
Moreover, Registrars consult directly with patients and receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced GPs. In addition, they build vital skills in diagnosis, case management, and continuity of care. As a result, they leave our practice fully prepared to lead in diverse healthcare settings.
We are proud to have 21 doctors on our team—14 female and 7 male—who bring dedication, energy, and expertise to every consultation. Furthermore, each member of our clinical team shares a commitment to high-quality, student-centered care.
Likewise, our doctors value the opportunity to support a young adult population. Despite the demands of a busy practice, they remain approachable and engaged. For this reason, students consistently receive care that is both thorough and compassionate.
We currently provide care to over 44,000 students living and studying in Leeds. Consequently, our practice is specifically structured to meet the healthcare needs of this population. Services include mental health care, preventative screenings, sexual health support, and chronic condition management.
In addition to our doctors, we employ more than 70 staff members who support clinical and administrative functions. Moreover, their efforts ensure every patient is seen, supported, and cared for without delay. Hence, our practice runs efficiently without compromising care quality.
Although we operate at a large scale, we maintain a personal connection with every patient. In contrast to larger institutions, we prioritize continuity, empathy, and accessibility.
