Dr Ronak Patel GP UK Brighton proudly leads Saltdean & Rottingdean Medical Practice, serving over 12,500 patients in the Brighton area. Our team offers both face-to-face and telephone appointments, ensuring accessible care for all.
Furthermore, we provide a broad range of medical services delivered by 10 experienced GPs, 5 nurses, a clinical pharmacist, paramedic, physiotherapists, and mental health specialists. As a result, patients receive well-rounded, responsive support for both short-term and chronic health needs.
We offer Chronic Disease Clinics that support patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. These clinics include annual reviews to monitor progress and adjust treatment. Consequently, patients benefit from better health outcomes and timely intervention.
In addition, we send invitations to patients for these annual reviews. Responding to these is essential to maintaining health and preventing complications.
Child immunisations are held every Wednesday afternoon. These routine vaccinations help protect children and reduce the risk of serious illness.
Similarly, our Over-75s Health Check includes height, weight, and blood pressure measurements. Patients can book this essential review through our reception team. Furthermore, our NHS Lifestyle Check is available for patients aged 40 to 74 without a chronic diagnosis. This check includes fasting blood tests and is offered every five years.
Phlebotomy clinics run every weekday morning. Therefore, patients must bring the correct documentation and have prior GP or consultant approval. In contrast, we do not carry out blood tests for children under 12. Instead, these are done at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.
Cytology (Smear Tests) are offered to women aged 25 to 65. Likewise, patients are encouraged to schedule these mid-cycle for accurate results. When notified by the NHS, patients must call the surgery to arrange an appointment.
Cryotherapy clinics for wart removal run monthly. However, you must first be seen by a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Additionally, we offer stitch removal and dressings, ensuring continued care following treatment or injury. As a result, patients benefit from complete, in-house aftercare.
