Kevin Standish Integrative Therapist London brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience to both individual and couples therapy. He offers a tailored, empathetic approach that addresses your specific emotional and relational needs. His integrative style blends clinical expertise with a deep understanding of human connection, making each session both structured and responsive.
Kevin began his professional journey as a social worker before completing clinical psychology training in both CBT and systemic therapy. He advanced his skills through couples therapy training with Relate and deepened his approach with certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). His EFT work uses a structured 12-session model that focuses on emotional bonding.
His qualifications also include core EMDR training, and he is working toward full registration with EMDR UK. This range of modalities allows Kevin to respond flexibly and effectively to your unique story.
Kevin has led major clinical programs and worked as addiction lead at Priory Hospital Roehampton. With over two decades of addiction-focused work, he supports individuals and couples struggling with alcohol, drug use, sex addiction, gambling, and other compulsive behaviors.
Couples facing addiction often suffer from layers of emotional distress. Kevin’s integrated method restores trust and communication while addressing the addiction itself. His goal is to help you reconnect with your partner and build resilience together.
Between 2008 and 2018, Kevin served as Head of School in Counselling and Psychology at Newham College University Centre in London. He’s a passionate researcher with several published and presented papers, including a 2003 publication on the narcissistic cycle in addiction.
Kevin has presented at multiple PsySSA Congress events and served as editor for the Clinical Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of South Africa from 1997 to 1999. His academic work continues to inform his therapy style today.
Kevin is a BACP-registered member (687106) and a registered social worker with Social Work England (SW38786). He currently works as a psychotherapist at the Priory Hospital, a position he has held since 2018. His ongoing training and ethical standards ensure you receive therapy rooted in evidence, compassion, and respect.
