Lorna Wilson Psychotherapist Stratford has always been passionate about improving mental health and well-being. With over two decades of experience in the social and mental health sectors, she has supported individuals through various challenges. She has worked with vulnerable adults, people facing mental health crises, and older adults managing complex issues. This experience motivated her to transition into psychotherapy.
Several personal challenges led Lorna to seek therapy. These moments of self-discovery sparked her passion for helping others overcome their own emotional struggles. Lorna Wilson Psychotherapist Stratford understands how important it is to have a therapeutic relationship that fosters both acceptance and growth. Lorna gained immense comfort from therapy and was inspired by how much it helped her heal. She believes that having someone who truly listens and accepts you can make all the difference in your journey toward personal transformation.
Lorna’s path to becoming a psychotherapist was driven by her desire to make a real difference in others' lives. She completed extensive training to become a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist. This included four years of study, over 450 hours of supervised clinical practice, and more than 160 hours of personal therapy. Lorna holds an MSc in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from Birmingham Newman University and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies from the same institution. Additionally, she earned a BSc in Psychology from Coventry University.
Now, Lorna Wilson Psychotherapist Stratford works part-time in both the NHS and private practice. She finds the work rewarding, helping people navigate their journeys of self-exploration and healing. Lorna remains committed to ongoing professional development to stay current with new therapeutic approaches. By continuing her education, she ensures she provides the highest level of care to her clients.
Lorna is also a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She follows their ethical frameworks, holds relevant insurances, and maintains a current advanced DBS check.
Lorna’s extensive knowledge and experience shape her therapeutic approach. She firmly believes that therapy is a collaborative process where individuals can explore their potential and achieve positive change. Lorna creates a compassionate and non-judgmental space for clients, helping them navigate life’s challenges and move toward personal growth.
