Louise Robinson Psychotherapist London offers a unique and grounded approach to emotional wellbeing. I draw on a range of effective modalities to support my clients, including Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, and psychodynamic principles. I also regularly integrate EMDR into sessions. Each session is shaped by the belief that true healing occurs within the safety of a consistent, well-boundaried therapeutic relationship.
This relational foundation allows clients to feel seen and heard. As trust builds, deeper exploration becomes possible. Over time, the therapeutic space becomes a place where meaningful change can take root. Clients leave with a stronger sense of self and greater emotional resilience.
As a senior psychotherapist, I serve as the manager of the internal mental health team at Humberside Police. My role involves supporting both officers and staff with their emotional wellbeing. I also manage service development and lead a dedicated team within Occupational Health. This dual role is both demanding and deeply fulfilling.
In addition, I maintain a small but committed private practice in London, working one day each week with individual clients. My private work allows for focused, one-on-one attention, and offers me the chance to bring my full therapeutic toolkit to each session.
Although I am trained to work with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, I have a particular interest in trauma recovery. This includes working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence or other forms of abuse. EMDR plays a central role in this aspect of my work, offering a powerful method for processing traumatic memories.
Another area I specialise in is clinical supervision. Supporting other therapists through their own professional journeys brings great depth to my work and reinforces my own reflective practice.
I work primarily as a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist, which allows for a rich understanding of client dynamics. TA helps clients understand how early life experiences influence present-day thinking, feeling, and behaviour. I also weave in elements of Gestalt and psychodynamic theory, depending on the client’s needs. Every therapy plan is personalised and collaborative.
Choosing therapy is a courageous step. With Louise Robinson Psychotherapist London, clients receive thoughtful, consistent, and expert support tailored to their individual journey. My integrated, relationship-based approach helps people rediscover clarity, stability, and emotional strength.
