Pina Brown Integrative Counsellor Chelmsford is more than a title—it reflects my mission to guide people through life’s challenges with authenticity and empathy. I provide tailored therapeutic services grounded in compassion, clarity, and trust. With a positive, nurturing, and integrative approach, I support individuals in navigating emotional struggles, building resilience, and creating meaningful change.
I am deeply committed to fostering personal growth. I embrace values that define me both personally and professionally:
Positive
Integrative
Nurturing
Authentic
Brave
Real
Original
Warm
Non-judgmental
Clients often describe me as relatable and genuine. Because of this, I form meaningful therapeutic alliances. My practice is built on empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I believe laughter, when appropriate, is an essential part of healing. Additionally, I provide clients with tools to rewrite their life narratives in ways that empower them.
For over two and a half years, I’ve proudly served as a therapist at the Priory. During this time, I’ve helped people with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I’m an active member of several respected professional bodies:
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
Because professional integrity matters, I uphold the ethical standards of these organizations while maintaining a deeply personal approach to every client session.
As part of my passion for learning, I contribute to the field through research and writing. I have authored a book exploring marriage, divorce, faith, and cultural dynamics. Currently, I’m working on two more books titled “It’s OK to Be Brave.”
Book 1 focuses on surviving all forms of early trauma and abuse. It addresses issues like low self-worth, emotional isolation, and the psychological effects of childhood trauma.
Book 2 explores how survivors of abuse can overcome avoidance and learn to live bravely.
These works are designed to educate, inspire, and provide validation for those struggling in silence.
My first language is English, and I also speak Italian fluently. Education has played a central role in shaping my professional journey:
BA (Hons), University of Manchester
Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, Stockport University
Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision
ABC and ABA Counselling Certifications
Training in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Because continued learning is crucial in this field, I regularly expand my knowledge through professional development.
I offer private counselling and mental health support for children, adolescents, and adults. Services include:
