Ravi Kamdar Cardiologist London is a leading name in cardiac care. He works as a Consultant Cardiologist at both King’s College Hospital and Croydon University Hospital. Since 2013, he has served as the Clinical Lead of the Arrhythmia Service at Croydon and also leads Cardiology Clinical Governance at the hospital.

His advanced cardiology and subspecialty training in arrhythmia and cardiac devices took place at leading London institutions. He became a Consultant Cardiologist in 2009.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr Kamdar manages a wide range of cardiac conditions. These include arrhythmia, heart failure, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, and valvular disease. He specialises in cardiac devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices. His expertise also covers complex rhythm disorders and heart failure.
Dr Kamdar’s passion for cardiac device therapies has earned him national recognition. He introduced advanced procedures like subcutaneous ICDs and His-bundle pacing at Croydon. In fact, he remains one of the highest volume implanters of complex devices at both his hospitals. Even in difficult cases, he delivers successful outcomes.
He established a Cardiac Devices Research Programme at Croydon and serves as Principal Investigator for several NIHR trials. His studies focus on resynchronisation therapy and Conduction System Pacing. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Kamdar trains junior doctors, supervises trainees, and teaches medical students.
For his leadership, innovation, and commitment to care, Dr Kamdar has received Clinical Excellence Awards and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. His Arrhythmia Service earned NHS England accreditation in 2015.
When not at work, Dr Kamdar enjoys scuba diving, running, and football — a balanced lifestyle that reflects his dedication to both wellbeing and excellence.
