Sara Turner Psychotherapeutic Counsellor Oxford has been delivering trusted, compassionate therapy since joining the Priory Wellbeing Centre in 2016. As a fully accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), she brings deep ethical commitment and extensive clinical training to her practice. Sara’s journey into psychotherapy began with a Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s in Psychoanalytic Infant Observational Studies from the Tavistock Clinic and the Birmingham Trust for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, completed in 2008.
She later pursued a Master of Studies in Psychodynamic Practice at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2012. While studying, she also engaged in clinical placements that provided hands-on experience with a diverse range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Sara’s professional path includes significant NHS experience, both with adults in Oxford and adolescents in school-based settings across Birmingham. She offers both short- and long-term psychotherapy, adapting flexibly to meet clients’ individual needs.
Additionally, she spent seven years supporting individuals, parents, and groups in early intervention and children’s centre environments. These roles expanded her ability to address complex emotional concerns with empathy and clarity.
