Shaun Preston General Surgeon London leads the Oesophago-Gastric Unit at The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. Later, he was a Visiting Surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Division of Foregut Surgery in 2006. These experiences expanded his surgical expertise and reinforced his global reputation.
Professor Preston is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Surrey. He was appointed Honorary Professor of Oesophago-Gastric & Robotic Surgery in 2024. Additionally, he serves as Chief Investigator for the NeoAEGIS study and Principal Investigator for OCCAMS. He is an active member of professional bodies like AUGIS, ALSGBI, and the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
Professor Preston focuses on the treatment of reflux, Barrett’s oesophagus, oesophageal and gastric cancer, and hernia repair. His work includes both robotic surgery and advanced endoscopic procedures. He uses minimally invasive techniques to ensure quicker recovery times for patients.
