Stephanie Halfyard CBT Therapist Manchester is more than a title—it’s a commitment to delivering quality, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care. I’m Steph, a proud Mancunian with a worker bee spirit and a deep passion for improving mental wellbeing across Greater Manchester.
From a young age, I’ve understood the power of resilience. My journey has led me to become a fully qualified cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT) and a British Isles trained dialectical behaviour therapist (DBT). Over the past 8 years, I’ve worked across various mental health settings—both inpatient and community-based—supporting adults with diverse challenges and goals.
I use CBT and DBT techniques to treat a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety (GAD, panic, health anxiety), OCD, low self-esteem, PTSD, complex trauma, and emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD). In every session, I combine professional insight with genuine empathy, always grounded in evidence-based practice.
Additionally, I’ve supported individuals on the autism spectrum and those struggling with self-harm. My approach encourages growth and empowerment, never judgment or pressure. Whether you’re taking your first steps toward healing or looking to maintain progress, I’m here to guide you.
Therapy should feel safe, supportive, and purposeful. I prioritise building strong, respectful relationships with each client. I ensure that you feel heard, understood, and accepted. We’ll work collaboratively—toward the life that feels meaningful and fulfilling for you.
Creating a space where you can explore your inner world without fear is essential. Trust is at the heart of our sessions, and I consider it a privilege every time a client shares their story with me.
Choosing the right therapist is an important step. I am BABCP accredited, MSc qualified, and have additional training in mindfulness and ADHD skills coaching. I continue to expand my knowledge through advanced courses such as Radical Open DBT.
If you feel we’re a good fit, we’ll work together to address your needs and goals. If not, I’ll support you in finding a therapist or service that feels right for you. Mental health is personal—your care should be, too.
No issue is too big or too small. If you are ready to take steps toward a healthier mind, I am here to walk beside you. Every person deserves to be supported. Together, we’ll work toward positive change—one step at a time.
