Yakubu Karagama Ear Nose & Throat Surgery London delivers expert ENT and Laryngology care with a commitment to excellence. Mr Yakubu Karagama completed his higher ENT surgical training in Newcastle, UK, in 2007. Since then, he has dedicated his career to treating both adult and paediatric ENT conditions. He practices privately at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle and serves within the NHS at Manchester University Hospital’s Otolaryngology department.
In addition to general ENT services, Mr Karagama has a subspecialty interest in professional voice problems, swallowing disorders, and complex nasal and sinus conditions. Notably, he leads the multidisciplinary specialist voice clinic at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He also brings innovative techniques to the treatment of patients requiring advanced phonosurgery.
Mr Karagama is the founder and course director of the renowned Manchester Phonosurgery Course. He holds an MSc in Advanced Voice Research from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, earned in 2005. His commitment to research and continuous improvement in ENT surgery underpins the quality of care he provides.
He has presented award-winning research at major national and international conferences. These include the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Association Conference of Otolaryngologists (BACO). Furthermore, he has published over 50 papers and holds honorary academic posts at the University of Manchester and Edge Hill University.
A leader in voice, swallowing, and nasal surgery, Mr Karagama offers a wide array of procedures, from tonsillectomy and rhinoplasty to laser laryngeal surgery and balloon dilatation for airway stenosis. Each treatment is tailored to patient needs, combining surgical skill with a holistic care approach.
He is an Honorary Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music and previously served as Secretary of the British Laryngological Association. Mr Karagama frequently speaks at international conferences and continues to push boundaries in ENT innovation.
