Qualifying in 1992, Dr. Tlou is a Centurion-based clinical psychologist, with private practice since 2006. Past leadership roles include chairperson (2004–2006) of the South African Society for Clinical Psychology. He served as Manager: Employee Wellness in the public service, student counselor at the University of the North, and clinical psychologist at various hospitals. Dr. Tlou’s academic journey includes a DPhil (Psychology), MPhil (HIV/AIDS Management), MA (Clin. Psy), BA Honours (Psychology), and BA. He holds postgraduate diplomas in HIV/AIDS Management and Forensic Psychology. His practice focuses on couples therapy, stress management, trauma counseling, health psychology, organizational wellness, and HIV/AIDS management. He is an active member of PsySSA, serving on the Executive since 2007 and as past President (2010–2011). Dr. Tlou is also an International Affiliate member of the American Psychological Association since 2005.
