Phiwe Lufele Clinical Psychologist Saxonwold provides caring and professional mental health support for individuals, couples, and families.
Dr. Lufele is a passionate and experienced clinical psychologist. She supports people through their mental health journey with care and respect. She creates a safe space where clients feel heard and understood. In addition, she builds a strong working relationship with each client. She also uses a culturally sensitive approach to meet each person’s needs.
Dr. Lufele uses a psychodynamic approach in her work. She focuses on how past experiences affect current thoughts and behavior. At the same time, she brings in other methods when needed. This allows her to shape therapy around each client. As a result, every person receives care that suits their situation.
She also follows a holistic approach. She looks at your social background and daily life. This helps her understand your challenges better. Therefore, she can guide you in a more meaningful way.
Dr. Lufele offers individual therapy for adults and adolescents. She helps clients explore personal struggles and emotional challenges. For example, she works on conflicts, stress, and relationship patterns. These issues often affect work, school, or daily life.
In each session, she guides clients to understand their thoughts and feelings. Then, she helps them build healthier ways to cope. Over time, this process leads to better self-awareness and growth.
Couples therapy gives partners a chance to grow together. Dr. Lufele helps couples understand their relationship patterns. She also teaches simple ways to manage conflict. In addition, couples learn how to handle stress in a healthy way.
This process helps each partner understand themselves and each other. As a result, they build a stronger connection as a couple.
Family therapy focuses on the whole family unit. Dr. Lufele helps families identify problems that cause stress. She also works on beliefs or habits that create conflict. Step by step, families learn how to communicate better and support each other.
Dr. Lufele offers play therapy for children aged 5 and older. This method helps children express feelings through play. It also helps them process emotions in a safe way. As a result, children learn to manage their feelings and improve behavior.
Dr. Lufele holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand. She completed her internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. There, she worked in both adult and child/adolescent units.
After that, she completed her community service at the same hospital. She worked in the Adult Outpatient Department. Through this experience, she gained strong clinical skills and insight into many mental health needs.
