Dr Sufian Ali GP Sheffield and the team at Carrfield Medical Centre are proud to provide trusted, accessible healthcare in Sheffield. We prioritise fast, personalised care while ensuring each patient feels heard and supported.
You can book appointments quickly using our online form. This is the most efficient method for most patients. However, if you have accessibility needs, please call us on 0114 258 4724. Conversely, callers without such needs may be directed to complete the form online.
Please avoid using the form for emergencies. If you require urgent help, call 999 or NHS 111 instead.
For urgent health issues, call the practice as soon as possible. One of our doctors will speak to you and assess the situation. If necessary, they will arrange a same-day appointment.
Routine appointments—such as vaccinations or check-ups—can be scheduled by phone. Additionally, if you used a self-booking link, you can change or cancel online up to 12 hours before. Otherwise, please contact us directly.
We offer home visits for patients who are housebound or seriously unwell. Moreover, emergency visit requests take priority. To help us plan efficiently, call us before 10:30 AM.
Typical reasons for home visits include terminal illness, frailty, or conditions where travel worsens symptoms. However, if you are able to travel, please attend the practice in person.
If you need help outside our opening hours, contact NHS 111. This free service is available 24/7 and helps with non-life-threatening issues. For life-threatening conditions, always call 999.
Examples of emergencies include:
Chest pain or heart attack symptoms
Unconsciousness
Severe breathing problems
Stroke symptoms
Head injuries
Stay calm, assist where possible, but never put yourself at risk. Avoid giving the person food or drink unless advised.
Emergency departments are for critical issues only. For instance, suspected fractures, deep cuts, or heavy bleeding may require A&E care. However, if not life-threatening, NHS 111 can guide you on the best option.
In contrast, visiting your GP is better for minor injuries or illnesses.
Visit the NHS website for more health information. It offers guidance on symptoms, treatments, and support services.
