Volunteer with KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital to support families through perioperative journeys. Join our dedicated team to help with emotional, social and practical care around surgery.
KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital Volunteer Services reach out to caregivers and patients during surgery periods and recovery. We help in wards, clinics and support groups. Our volunteers make hospital stays easier for women, children and newborns.
Assist children in wards above 3 years old during mealtimes. KKH
Engage child patients in simple activities to ease anxiety. KKH+1
Support infants: carrying, diaper changing, and helping with mother‑infant bonding. KKH
Comfort post‑natal mothers; offer reassurance and company. KKH
Assist women with ambulation, e.g. helping them walk; pushing wheelchairs or helping with discharge. KKH
In support groups: befriending cancer patients, attending art or craft therapy, phone calls or visits. KKH+1
Must commit fixed shifts weekly. For instance, 2‑hour slots over 12 weeks, or 4‑hour slots over 6 weeks. KKH
Age requirements depend on the programme (17‑21 years and above). KKH
Must be medically fit: no major skin conditions, etc.; required vaccinations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella) before starting. KKH
Volunteers provide emotional and social support that improves patient experience. You help reduce fear, give comfort, distract from pain. SingHealth+1

You help build meaningful relationships—with children, mothers, patients recovering from surgery. KKH+1
We conduct orientation and training sessions. KKH
