Lindsay Hattingh Physiotherapist Kirstenhof: About the Practice

Lindsay Hattingh provides a professional and caring environment with personalised treatment plans for each patient. She founded the practice and brings extensive experience from hospital work, private practice, and further studies.

Meet Lindsay Hattingh

Lindsay graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2000. She completed the Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy course, now known as the Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal course, in 2008. Her experience includes post-operative rehabilitation, spinal and joint injuries, sports injury management, and geriatric care.

After running a successful Tokai practice for nearly 20 years, Lindsay moved to a health and fitness studio in Constantia. There, she worked alongside chiropractors, Pilates instructors, and personal trainers. Following the sale of those premises, she returned to Tokai. She now shares a space with a general practitioner and chiropractor.

Our Services Offered with Lindsay Hattingh Physiotherapist Kirstenhof

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Lindsay assesses and treats joint, muscle, and spinal conditions. Treatment includes manual therapy and mobilisation, individual rehabilitation exercises, postural and muscle balance assessments, and injury prevention strategies.

Sports Injury Management

She treats sports injuries, supports performance, and helps prevent future problems. Care includes injury assessment, treatment, biomechanical and posture analysis, plus muscle balance and strengthening programmes.

Dry Needling

Dry needling targets muscle trigger points to release tension, improve circulation, and reduce pain. It can help with muscle knots, tight bands, chronic pain, headaches, and migraines.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Lindsay provides guidance and progressive rehabilitation after joint replacements, arthroscopies, and spinal surgery. Treatment focuses on restoring strength and mobility.

Chest Physiotherapy

Treatment for pneumonia, bronchitis, and post-operative lung complications helps loosen phlegm, improve breathing, and support recovery.

Sports Massage

Deep tissue and therapeutic sports massage can release muscle tension and improve blood flow. It suits athletes after intense training and people with muscular tightness linked to stress.

Sinusitis Treatment

Treatment for chronic sinus issues uses joint mobilisation, ultrasound therapy, and dry needling to relieve sinus pressure and congestion.

Geriatric Physiotherapy

Care for elderly patients focuses on mobility, independence, fall prevention, post-surgical rehabilitation, and pain management for age-related conditions.

Outside physiotherapy, Lindsay enjoys sports and adventure activities, as well as relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.
