At S. Natha Physiotherapy, we believe in a holistic approach to healing, ensuring that each patient receives individualised care that addresses both the symptoms and underlying causes of their condition. Based in Johannesburg, our practice is committed to delivering evidence-based treatments that enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being.
Sonam Natha is a highly skilled physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Stellenbosch University. She has a wealth of experience in both public and private healthcare settings, having started her career at Carletonville Hospital, where she managed an entire physiotherapy department.
Her expertise was further developed at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital and Life Fourways Hospital, where she gained invaluable experience treating acute and chronic conditions across a diverse range of patients, including those in ICU with chest complications, surgical recovery needs, and musculoskeletal issues such as back and neck pain.
Sonam’s treatment philosophy is rooted in patient education and empowerment, ensuring that each individual understands their condition and plays an active role in their rehabilitation.
At S. Natha Physiotherapy, we offer a wide range of treatment options tailored to suit the specific needs of each patient. Our goal is to provide effective, evidence-based care that helps individuals regain function, mobility, and independence.
A structured programme of targeted exercises designed to improve strength, mobility, and balance. This is particularly beneficial for post-injury rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and general musculoskeletal health.
Hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue manipulation, and stretching to relieve pain, restore movement, and enhance muscle function.
A non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and enhance healing by improving cellular metabolism and microcirculation. This is particularly effective for muscle spasms, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions.
A specialised technique involving the insertion of thin needles into trigger points (tight muscle knots) to relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve mobility.
A gentle, hands-on therapy that balances cerebrospinal fluid flow by manipulating the skull and spine. This approach helps relieve both physical and emotional tension, making it particularly useful for stress-related conditions and chronic pain.
Beyond traditional physiotherapy, Sonam incorporates elements of Reiki, yoga, and mindfulness into her treatment approach. She believes that addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of pain and rehabilitation optimises long-term recovery.
At S. Natha Physiotherapy, we are committed to providing:
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, struggling with chronic pain, or looking to improve your mobility and overall well-being, our practice is here to guide you on your journey to better health.
