About Us

Established in 1976 in the south of Johannesburg by the late Joanne Sklaar, Sklaar Physiotherapist has built a reputation for excellence in patient care, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy services. Over the years, we have developed a highly skilled team of physiotherapists, including senior practitioners, associates, and administrative staff, all dedicated to ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Our team includes seven physiotherapists with Master of Science degrees in Physiotherapy, alongside professionals who have completed Accredited Professional Development Level 2 (APDL2) courses in various fields such as Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Sports Physiotherapy, and Pain Management.

  • Physiotherapy representative of the South African Sports Medicine Association.

Our senior physiotherapists have years of experience in orthopaedics, sports injuries, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, neurology, and pain science. Some of our team members lecture locally and internationally on postgraduate courses, while others mentor undergraduate physiotherapy students, ensuring the continuous growth of the profession.
