At Brainchild, we are committed to equipping caregivers with the knowledge and tools they need to support the healthy development of infants. We recognise the importance of the first years in a child’s life and strive to help caregivers nurture secure attachment bonds and foster emotional resilience. Our mission is to provide caregivers, particularly nannies, with the resources they need to create environments where children can thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Our services include both in-person workshops and online courses, each designed to give caregivers a deeper understanding of infant development and to enhance their caregiving skills. Through evidence-based approaches grounded in neuroscience, we aim to ensure that children receive the best possible care during these critical formative years.
Our 6-week workshop is ideal for nannies, caregivers, and parents. This programme provides a comprehensive understanding of infant development and how caregivers can contribute to a child’s well-being. The workshop takes place once a week, with each session lasting 2 hours. To maintain an interactive environment and ensure individual attention, we limit group sizes to a maximum of 8 participants.
Workshop Details:
Throughout the workshop, caregivers will learn essential skills to support their child’s development, manage challenging behaviours, and foster a positive, safe environment. By the end of the programme, participants will have practical tools and strategies to implement in their caregiving practice.
Our Level 1 online course offers an introduction to the neuroscience of parenting. By focusing on how the brain develops, this course provides key insights that can improve your approach to caregiving. Topics covered include:
This course allows participants to gain foundational knowledge about the brain’s role in infant development and how to apply this understanding in their daily caregiving practices. It will soon be available for online access.
Following Level 1, we recommend completing Level 2, which delves deeper into the brain-body connection. This course explores the crucial link between a child’s autonomic nervous system and their emotional state, which plays a vital role in caregiving practices. Topics include:
By the end of this course, caregivers will understand how their responses and actions influence a child’s emotional and neurological development, allowing them to provide more effective, empathetic care.
At Brainchild, we prioritise up-to-date, scientifically backed information to empower caregivers. We aim to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and everyday caregiving practices, ensuring that both parents and nannies have access to the best tools for supporting infant growth. Our workshops and courses are designed to be accessible, practical, and transformative for anyone involved in infant care.
Whether you’re a parent looking to deepen your understanding of infant development or a nanny hoping to enhance your caregiving skills, we are here to support you. If you are interested in any of our services, please feel free to email Brainchild for further information or to book your session.
