Experience as a Clinical Psychologist

During my internship, I worked at the Johannesburg Metro Community Clinics and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. There, I gained hands-on experience in the Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychiatry Unit. Afterward, I completed my Community Service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in the Adult Psychiatry Unit, treating both male and female patients in psychiatric wards. These experiences gave me in-depth exposure to various mental health challenges.

I utilize a flexible, integrated approach in my therapy sessions. I combine various frameworks to tailor my treatment to each client’s needs. The systemic/interactional perspective allows me to explore patterns of behavior, while the psychodynamic approach deepens emotional insight. Furthermore, I am proficient in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These methods enable me to address anxiety and distress effectively.

Advanced Training in Psychosexual Studies

To enhance my clinical expertise, I completed advanced training through Tavistock Relationships in London. I received a Certificate in Psychosexual Studies, which has enriched my ability to work with clients in complex relational dynamics. By blending different approaches, I ensure that my clients receive the most appropriate care for their unique circumstances.
