Faye Jackson Occupational Therapist Park View is a dedicated professional specializing in Paediatrics and concussion. She has built her career around helping children reach their full potential. Faye earned her BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013. Following this, she completed her community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 2014. With both public and private sector experience, Faye has developed a strong skill set in paediatric care.
Faye Jackson Occupational Therapist Park View is deeply committed to advancing her education. She completed her MSc in Occupational Therapy (Paediatrics) at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019. This helped her refine her understanding of child development and paediatric therapy techniques. In addition, Faye has been lecturing at the University of the Witwatersrand since 2017. She enjoys teaching paediatrics to future therapists, ensuring the next generation is well-prepared for the challenges they may face.
Faye is also pursuing further training in Sensory Integration. By learning new techniques, she can better address sensory processing difficulties in children. These additional qualifications help her stay at the forefront of paediatric therapy, ensuring her clients receive the highest level of care.
She has a special interest in developmental delay and sensory integration. She works with children who face challenges in these areas, helping them improve their skills and independence. Faye collaborates closely with families, providing support and guidance as they work towards their goals. She believes that a family-centered approach is key to successful outcomes. Her personalized therapy plans are designed to meet each child’s unique needs, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
Faye’s dedication to her field extends beyond clinical practice. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Occupational Therapy through the University of the Witwatersrand and Loughborough University in the UK. Her research aims to further our understanding of how sensory experiences impact children’s development. This work will contribute to the ongoing evolution of paediatric therapy and the development of new, effective interventions.
In her free time, Faye enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. They love to travel and create lasting memories together. This balance helps Faye stay motivated and energized in her professional life. By prioritizing her family, she maintains a healthy work-life balance, which ultimately benefits her clients as well.
