Katherine Meyer Physiotherapist Parkview,Therapy in the Parks Johannesburg is a transdisciplinary paediatric centre. We provide private therapy to children of all ages. Our skilled therapists take a holistic approach to child development. Early intervention remains our priority.
Katherine Meyer Physiotherapist Parkview leads with experience and dedication. She is a loving wife and a mother of two beautiful girls. Her daughters have shaped the way she works with children.
Katherine qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 at UCT. She completed her community service year at Catherine Booth Hospital in Amatikulu, KZN. She set up the physiotherapy service and developed the department. During this time, she treated both musculoskeletal and paediatric cases. However, her passion for paediatrics was undeniable.
Katherine spent five years in London, UK. She gained invaluable experience in various outpatient paediatric settings. While there, she attended multiple training courses at the Bobath Centre.
In 2007, she completed her Basic Neurodevelopmental Course (NDT). She continued to expand her skills, completing advanced training. Some of these courses included a Baby Course with Lois Bly, a Dyskinetic Course with JP Maes, and a Vision Course with Christa Scholtz.
Katherine returned to South Africa in 2010. She spent 15 months working in paediatrics in Cape Town. Her experience included work at the CP Clinic at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. She also treated children in private practice.
In 2011, Katherine co-founded Physio in the Parks. Over the past 12 years, she has played a vital role in helping children thrive. She completed her Basic and Advanced General Movement Assessment, further refining her expertise.
Katherine finds joy in working with children. She celebrates both small and big victories with them. Every child teaches her something new, and she embraces those lessons. Her passion, dedication, and experience continue to make a difference in children’s lives.
