Skye Warrener, Addictions Counsellor Northcliff, is dedicated to guiding individuals through their journey of recovery. With personal experience in addiction recovery, Skye understands the struggles her clients face. She offers more than just professional expertise—her empathy and passion make her a trusted ally in the fight against addiction.
Skye’s path to becoming an Addictions Counsellor Northcliff began with her own experience in recovery. After entering recovery herself, Skye realized her true calling: to help others who were struggling with addiction. She quickly understood that the journey is difficult but possible. Therefore, she pursued a career in addiction counselling to make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Currently, Skye is in the final year of a psychological counselling degree at UNISA. Her academic progress complements her real-world experience, making her even more qualified to assist individuals in recovery. By combining theory with practice, Skye’s approach remains grounded and effective.
Before joining Changes, Skye volunteered at a rehab centre for eight weeks. This experience exposed her to the realities of addiction, cementing her passion for the field. At Changes, Skye continues to grow and refine her skills. She says, “Changes has helped me not only hone my craft but also fall completely in love with the process of transforming patients’ lives.”
Her journey at Changes has allowed her to connect with clients in meaningful ways. Skye believes in building trust and rapport, which helps individuals feel comfortable in their recovery process.
As an Addictions Counsellor Northcliff, Skye feels a deep sense of fulfillment in helping others. Each day, she assists people in overcoming addiction and rebuilding their lives. Her work directly impacts not just the patients but their families as well. Through her counselling, Skye fosters positive change, empowering clients to reclaim control over their lives.
Her personal experience with addiction recovery enables Skye to approach her work with a unique perspective. She is living proof that lasting recovery is possible. Skye’s four years of stable recovery serve as an inspiration to her clients, showing them that recovery is a journey worth taking.
