About

Dr. Candice Morrison is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Vitalab. She developed her expertise while working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Cape Town. Moreover, she completed her MMed on a Gynae Endocrine topic during her registrar time. In addition, she spent twelve months exclusively in Urogynaecology, where she gained hands‐on experience in vaginal and prolapse surgery. Consequently, she has become highly competent in outpatient procedures such as hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, and pelvic ultrasound. Furthermore, her MMed and college dissertation, based on a descriptive cohort study, compared the presentation of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in adolescents with that in women aged 35 and older at Groote Schuur Hospital. As a result, she presented her findings at the SASOG 2014 congress, earning 2nd prize and a certificate of excellence for oral presentations. Additionally, she represented South Africa in age group Triathlons at the Triathlon World Championships in Beijing in 2011, and she has competed in Ironman events—placing 2nd at the South African championships in 2015 and qualifying for the World Championships in Chicago.
