Supporting Mental Health with Affirming and Inclusive Care

Everyone deserves access to optimal mental health and wellbeing. At the core of my practice is the belief that mental health support should be affirming, inclusive, and socially conscious. Whether through individual counselling, couples therapy, group sessions, or CPD-accredited training, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space for all.

Based in Sunningdale, Cape Town, I offer both in-person and online counselling services, ensuring accessibility for clients across various locations.

About Aurora Brown

I am an HPCSA Registered Counsellor, committed to providing queer-affirming and intersectional psychological support for adults and adolescents. My counselling approach acknowledges the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I strive to provide therapy that is compassionate, informed, and effective.

Alongside counselling, I specialise in psychometric assessments and psychoeducational workshops, equipping clients with valuable insights into their mental health, personal growth, and resilience strategies.

I also offer HPCSA-accredited CPD training for fellow health professionals, helping them integrate inclusive, intersectional approaches into their practice.

Additional Information

HPCSA-Accredited CPD Training for Mental Health Professionals

Mental health is deeply influenced by societal structures, systemic inequalities, and lived experiences. With Intersectional Psychology CPD Training, I provide HPCSA-accredited courses that help psychologists, registered counsellors, and health professionals develop inclusive and socially just therapeutic approaches.

These training courses, offered live and on-demand, are based on the foundational work of Black feminist thought and intersectional psychology. Participants can earn a combination of Ethics and General CPD points while learning to provide more equitable and effective mental health care.

Creating Lasting Change

Mental health support should be more than just symptom management—it should foster personal empowerment, self-understanding, and resilience. Through my work as a registered counsellor and educator, I aim to support individuals in achieving meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

If you’re looking for affirming, intersectional mental health care or inclusive professional development training, I’d love to connect with you. Let’s work together toward a healthier, more just world.
