Lynette Woodberg Counselling Goodwood is built on a genuine passion for listening to others. For years, I’ve created a space where individuals can share their problems, concerns, and dreams. Counselling has always come naturally to me, and I soon realized it was my calling. This led me to volunteer as a Lay Counsellor, which further confirmed my desire to pursue this career.
My career in psychology began in 1998 when I completed a Counselling in Corporate Certificate with LifeLine. Following this, I completed a Higher Certificate in Counselling at SACAP in 2001. As my career evolved, I transitioned from part-time undergraduate study to full-time study, completing a BA Honours Psychology (Equivalent). This path ultimately led me to become a fully qualified, HPCSA Registered Counsellor.
Having worked in corporate environments, I’ve witnessed the damaging effects of career dissatisfaction. Anxiety, stress, and burnout are just a few of the consequences of feeling unfulfilled at work. Many individuals face career disillusionment, and it’s crucial to recognize how deeply this affects emotional health. I understand these challenges firsthand, which is why I focus on helping clients discover their true passions and find meaning in their work.
Whether dealing with a mid-life crisis or the anxiety of early retirement, I help individuals navigate these transitions. Together, we’ll explore how to move forward with clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.
In my years as a counsellor, I’ve supported clients through some of the toughest life moments. Working with families facing incurable diseases or helping loved ones cope with mental health struggles has given me a deep understanding of the emotional challenges that arise. Grief, loss, and end-of-life counselling are areas I’ve worked in extensively, providing comfort to both individuals and families during these difficult times.
I believe it’s an honor to work alongside multidisciplinary teams to create the best possible environment for clients and their loved ones. Supporting clients during their final journey is a responsibility I take seriously, ensuring they feel heard, cared for, and at peace.
At Lynette Woodberg Counselling Goodwood, I am dedicated to your emotional well-being. Whether you’re experiencing career uncertainty, dealing with grief, or facing a difficult life transition, my goal is to offer you the support you need. Together, we will work to create meaningful solutions and help you find peace and clarity in every stage of your life.
