Dr. Bonakele Cele is a dedicated General Practitioner at the ABJ Wilgers Oncology Centre in Die Wilgers, Pretoria. Born in Durban, she is the eldest of three siblings and matriculated from Vukuzakhe High School in 1994. She earned her MBChB from the Natal Medical School in 2000. Early in her career, she worked in various rural hospitals across KwaZulu-Natal, where she gained extensive experience in paediatrics, HIV management, and forensic pathology. Additionally, she held roles as a Medical and Hospital Manager, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Moreover, Dr. Cele pursued further professional development by obtaining a Diploma in HIV Management, a qualification in Project Management, and a three-year Diploma in Theology. In 2018, she transitioned into oncology, beginning her journey as a Medical Officer in the Oncology Department at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital. Subsequently, she advanced to a registrar position in the Oncology Department in Bloemfontein. On July 1, 2022, she joined the Drs Alberts, Bouwer & Jordaan Inc. (ABJ) group, where she now brings her diverse expertise to the oncology team.
