Dr. Lambert Rudolph Maré, commonly known as Dr. Rudi Maré, is a dedicated Clinical Radiation Oncologist at the ABJ Benoni Oncology Centre in Benoni, Gauteng. He earned his MBChB from the University of the Free State in 1986. After graduation, he served in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) for four years at the Institute for Aviation Medicine, where he also taught the Flight Medical Officer course. Subsequently, he worked at 1 Military Hospital in the Ear, Nose, and Throat Department before transitioning to private practice as a General Practitioner. Pursuing his passion for oncology, he joined the Department of Oncotherapy at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein and qualified as a Clinical and Radiation Oncologist in 1997. In 1998, he became a member of the Drs Alberts, Bouwer & Jordaan Inc. (ABJ) group.
Dr. Maré is a member of the South African Society for Clinical and Radiation Oncologists (SASCRO) and a lifelong member of the South African Aerospace Medical Society. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, traveling, and fly-fishing. His diverse background and dedication enable him to deliver personalized, effective care to each patient.
