Born and raised in South Wales, Dr Bohra comes from a family of doctors, with his father being an ENT surgeon who transitioned into General Practice. This early exposure ignited his passion for General Practice and the idea of building lasting relationships with patients.
Dr Anshu Bohra completed his GP training in 2009 as part of the prestigious Oxford Deanery in Reading. He takes a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on both physical and lifestyle factors that impact health. By understanding the full picture of a patient’s well-being, Dr Bohra works collaboratively with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Consequently, his patients benefit from a personalized care plan tailored to their needs.
With a wealth of experience working in both rural and city practices, Dr Bohra brings a broad perspective to his work. He complements his private practice with regular salaried sessions in the NHS, allowing him to stay connected to a wide range of patient demographics. A notable chapter in Dr Bohra’s career was his appointment as one of the official doctors for the Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express. This experience, traveling from Moscow to Vladivostok, exposed Dr Bohra to a wide variety of people from around the world. As a result, he developed a deeper understanding of international health concerns and the importance of accessible, quality healthcare in diverse settings.
Outside of work, Dr Anshu Bohra enjoys staying active by cycling, hiking, and maintaining his fitness. Growing up in Wales, he has always loved spending time outdoors, and this passion for nature helps him maintain a healthy work-life balance.
