At Glowing Hearts Psychotherapy, we offer professional psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families. Carly Fex, a registered and practising psychotherapist, provides therapy tailored to meet a wide range of needs. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, Carly and her team are dedicated to supporting you through these difficulties. Our approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and client-focused, with a deep commitment to fostering personal growth and emotional well-being.
We offer a comprehensive range of psychotherapy services to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families. With expertise in various therapeutic approaches, we aim to provide the support needed to help you lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.
We provide Psychotherapy with Psychological Supervision for clients aged 18 and over. In this arrangement, Carly or Sara will provide therapy under the supervision of our clinical psychologist. This collaboration ensures that clients receive the highest level of care, with the benefit of professional oversight. We encourage all clients to check with their insurance providers to confirm which services are covered under their psychological benefits.
At Glowing Hearts Psychotherapy, we have extensive experience in offering individual therapy to clients of all ages, starting from 4 years old. Our therapists work with individuals to address a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. We also specialise in play therapy and attachment-based therapy for children. The therapy process begins with an intake session, where we gather background information and current concerns. Together, we will establish goals that guide the treatment plan moving forward, ensuring a personalised and effective approach.
We understand the importance of strong, healthy relationships, which is why we offer couples therapy using well-established frameworks like Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Couples therapy typically begins with 3-4 assessment sessions, where both partners attend together and separately. From there, goals are set, and a tailored treatment plan is developed. We address issues such as communication difficulties, trust, emotional connection, and conflict resolution to strengthen the relationship.
Family therapy and parenting support are crucial for fostering healthy family dynamics. At Glowing Hearts Psychotherapy, we provide family therapy to help families manage expectations, improve communication, and address concerns in a constructive manner. We also offer evidence-based parenting programs to support parents in their journey. Our family therapy sessions involve all family members, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and that concerns are addressed collaboratively.
Carly Fex is a CRPO-qualified supervisor with experience in supervising psychotherapists within the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), including qualifying members. Carly also has experience as an external clinical supervisor for students at Yorkville University and is open to supervising one or two students each semester. If you are a psychotherapist seeking supervision, Carly’s expertise will help guide your professional development and enhance your clinical skills.
