Dwaipayan Sen Geriatric Medicine Wilmslow represents excellence in patient-centred care. Dr Dwaipayan Sen delivers expert, hands-on care at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neuroscience. He also leads as the Clinical Director at the Greater Manchester Comprehensive Stroke Centre at Salford Royal Hospital.
Dr Sen brings deep knowledge in stroke care and geriatric medicine. He focuses on stroke, TIA, cerebral small vessel disease, and cryptogenic strokes. Additionally, he manages anticoagulation for atrial fibrillation and strokes of uncertain cause. Importantly, he offers thorough care in neurogeriatrics, addressing dementia, falls, and parkinsonism.

After earning his MBBS in 2002 from Calcutta University, Dr Sen moved to the UK for advanced training. He achieved MRCP (UK) in 2006 and MRCP in Geriatric Medicine in 2009. He completed his CCT in 2014 in General Internal, Geriatric, and Stroke Medicine.
In 2014, he began his Consultant role in Manchester. Then, between 2016 and 2017, he led Stroke Services in Kolkata. This international experience enriched his clinical perspective and leadership skills.
Besides clinical excellence, Dr Sen teaches as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester University. He stays involved in academic research and trains the next generation of doctors. Therefore, his impact extends beyond the hospital.
