Hello and welcome! I’m Suzanne, the founder and dedicated counsellor behind Positive Relationships. With a background in integrative counselling, my work is guided by Systemic and Psychodynamic approaches, tailored to suit each unique individual or relationship. My passion lies in helping people build stronger, healthier connections—whether with themselves, their partners, families, or colleagues.
Over the years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My focus is always on creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where people can explore, heal, and grow. Relationships are at the core of our lives, and I believe everyone deserves the tools and support to make those connections positive and fulfilling.
My work centres around helping people better understand themselves and their relationships. I offer counselling and coaching to support a wide range of personal and interpersonal challenges. Here’s what you can expect:
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply unsure about your next steps, individual counselling can offer a space to reflect and reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re navigating low self-esteem, stress, or anxiety, we’ll work together to uncover what’s holding you back and explore practical strategies for moving forward.
Relationships can be both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging. Couples counselling offers a chance to improve communication, rebuild trust, and resolve conflicts in a healthy, constructive way. I support couples at every stage—whether you’re facing difficulties, preparing for marriage, or simply wanting to deepen your connection.
Modern family life brings a host of dynamics that can sometimes cause stress or disconnection. I offer family counselling to help navigate blended families, parenting challenges, and intergenerational conflict. Through open conversation and collaborative work, families can build greater understanding and support for one another.
In every session, I draw from both Systemic (looking at the impact of relationships and family systems) and Psychodynamic (exploring deeper emotional patterns) theories. This allows for a well-rounded, thoughtful approach to therapy that adapts to your specific needs.
At Positive Relationships, the focus is not just on resolving problems—it’s about building resilience, creating meaningful change, and developing lasting emotional insight. No matter your background or situation, you are welcome here.
Sessions are available in Birmingham, with options for in-person or online appointments. I am here to support you with warmth, empathy, and professionalism—every step of the way.
