From Professional Athlete to Expert Physiotherapist

James understands injury from both a personal and clinical perspective. After earning a First-Class degree in Physiotherapy from Salford University, he joined Team Sky (now Ineos Grenadiers). There, he focused on managing and rehabilitating traumatic injuries. He played a vital role in the team’s victories during the 2019 Tour de France and the 2020 Giro d’Italia.

While continuing to support the team in the UK, he also leads their Musculoskeletal Screening and Testing. This allows him to blend elite performance care with injury prevention techniques.

Before joining Harris & Ross, James expanded his knowledge with Lancashire County Cricket Club’s 1st team. There, he became highly skilled in treating lower back, trunk, and hand injuries. His hands-on experience gave him deep insight into the physical demands of cricket.

Later, James stepped into the film industry, working as a private physiotherapist for two years. This role took him around the world and introduced him to the physical challenges faced by performers and production teams.

A New Chapter with Harris & Ross

Despite the excitement of sports and film, James has now chosen a more grounded lifestyle. He is eager to spend quality time with his young family while continuing to grow professionally. Currently, he is studying for his MSc in Sports Medicine at Bath University, constantly looking to refine his clinical skills.

In his downtime, James enjoys playing cricket, weight training, and outdoor adventures with his two children. His approachable nature and depth of experience make him a standout addition to the Harris & Ross team.
