About Elucido Psychology

Dr Sarah Bruce is a respected Clinical Psychologist in Manchester with over 20 years of experience in adult mental health. She founded Elucido Psychology in 2015 to offer a focused, personalised service tailored to each client’s needs.

Dr Bruce completed her doctorate at the University of Manchester in 2005. Since then, she has worked extensively in both NHS and private sector mental health services. Her experience spans adult mental health, substance misuse, personality disorders, and risk assessment.

She spent eight years within an NHS mental health trust, working across a variety of settings. These included community teams, inpatient units, prison services, and secure forensic environments. Later, she moved into the private sector as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead at a private hospital. There, she provided both leadership and clinical input across multidisciplinary teams.
