herapist committed to the connection between mind and body. My approach stems from years of experience working in both hospital and community settings, treating a wide variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal, respiratory, and neurological disorders. I currently support individuals within NHS Lothian, helping them recover from oncology and surgical conditions at every life stage.
My speciality lies in scar therapy. As an accredited ScarWork™ therapist, I focus on abdominal and pelvic scars, using techniques that address both physical and emotional healing. I take a holistic approach to therapy, drawing on my extensive training to ensure your recovery is well-rounded.
I specialise in treating scars, offering targeted techniques to reduce tightness and pain. Whether your scars are a result of surgery, trauma, or pregnancy, I work to improve both their mobility and appearance. My approach goes beyond physical healing, addressing the emotional impact of scars and ensuring you receive comprehensive care.
I provide detailed physiotherapy assessments and tailored rehabilitation plans. I combine hands-on techniques with exercise, movement therapy, and stretching, designed to meet your individual needs. My experience spans musculoskeletal, respiratory, and neurological conditions, allowing me to create an effective and personalised treatment plan for each client.
I believe in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. My MSc in War & Psychiatry has given me deep insights into how emotional trauma can affect the body. I integrate both physical and emotional support in my treatments, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healing.
I am also qualified in Holistic, Sports, and Pregnancy Massage. These treatments aim to reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation, and help you recover from injuries. Whether you’re pregnant or recovering from sports-related injuries, I use massage to support your overall wellbeing.
I take the time to provide a thorough, unhurried assessment and work with you to achieve your health goals. My practice is trauma-informed and inclusive of all individuals, including those who are trans, queer, or involved in sex work. I believe that movement is essential for a healthy life and is key to your recovery. My goal is to empower you to reconnect with your body and the world around you.
At Jessica Lane Physio, you are welcome to share your experiences, but it’s never a requirement. I strive to offer a safe and supportive environment for all my clients to heal at their own pace. Jessica Lane Physio Edinburgh
