I am a BACP qualified and accredited counsellor with over 10 years of post-qualification experience. Currently offering both in-person and online sessions, I provide flexible support tailored to each client’s needs. As a humanistic and integrative counsellor, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, ensuring that the techniques I use suit your individual circumstances. I deeply value your uniqueness as a person and aim to provide a therapy experience that respects and nurtures that.
Additionally, I am in the process of completing my training in supervision and am currently offering supervision services to counsellors and psychotherapists at a reduced rate. This allows me to support professionals in their work while enhancing my skills. As a registered counsellor with BUPA, I also provide services through this platform. You can view my profile and contact me via BUPA here: Katy Berwick – BUPA Profile.
I offer a comprehensive range of counselling services designed to address a variety of mental health issues. These services include:
Individual Counselling: I support individuals dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, and relationship difficulties. My approach ensures that therapy is tailored to your unique needs, whether you are seeking short-term support or longer-term counselling.
Online Counselling: For convenience and accessibility, I provide online counselling sessions. This option ensures you can access therapy from the comfort of your own home, regardless of location.
Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists: As I complete my training in supervision, I offer reduced-rate supervision services to counsellors and psychotherapists. This provides an opportunity for professionals to receive support and guidance in their practice.
Support for People with Life-Threatening Illnesses: With extensive experience in supporting individuals with life-limiting conditions, I offer counselling for people affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. This service is available to both patients and their families, helping them navigate the emotional challenges of such diagnoses.
Support for Dementia and Carers: I have worked with individuals with dementia and their carers in both health and social care settings. This has given me a thorough understanding of the emotional impact of dementia and caregiving. I offer counselling services to help individuals and families cope with these challenges.
LGBTQIA+ Support: I am committed to providing inclusive counselling services and have experience working with clients who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for all clients to explore their feelings and concerns.
I bring a wealth of experience to my practice, having worked with clients from various walks of life. From 2012 to 2019, I specialised in supporting individuals with eating disorders at Focus Counselling in Bath. Additionally, I have worked with organisations such as We Hear You and Penny Brohn UK, where I provided counselling to people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Throughout my career, I have undertaken a wide range of training, including courses on dissociative disorders, dementia, and the emotional impacts of caregiving. This ongoing learning ensures that I remain well-equipped to support clients through their unique challenges.
