I am an NCAC Accredited counsellor, specialising in addiction, trauma, and emotional well-being. With extensive training and experience, I am dedicated to offering high-quality support for clients facing a variety of challenges. My accreditation through addictionprofessionals.org.uk ensures that I continually improve my practice, providing the best support possible.
Having worked in both daycare and residential treatment settings, such as the DHI (Bath) and Clouds House (Action on Addiction), I have gained a deep understanding of addiction recovery. I utilise both 12 Step and Harm Reduction methods to help individuals overcome their struggles. Working collaboratively, we will explore solutions together, especially when dealing with addictions or emotional difficulties that may feel overwhelming.
I provide a variety of counselling services to help individuals with emotional and mental health issues. My specialisms include:
With years of experience in addiction services, I offer tailored support to those struggling with substance misuse or behavioural addictions. My counselling approach provides:
Giving up Smoking
Recovery from Alcohol and Drug Addiction
12 Step Programmes
Harm Reduction Techniques
Together, we will explore coping strategies, address the underlying causes of addiction, and set achievable recovery goals. Whether you seek complete abstinence or wish to reduce harmful behaviours, I am here to guide and support you.
Growing up in an alcoholic household often leads to emotional challenges that continue into adulthood. I support ACOA clients by helping them understand and address:
The Impact of Growing Up in an Addicted Family
Unhooking from the Past
Building Healthy Relationships and Self-Esteem
Through a compassionate approach, I assist clients in breaking free from unhealthy patterns and embracing a healthier future.
Anxiety and depression can leave individuals feeling overwhelmed and stuck. I offer counselling for:
Generalised Anxiety
Social Anxiety
Depression
Low Self-Esteem and Self-Worth
We will work together to identify the causes of your anxiety and depression, develop effective coping mechanisms, and enhance your emotional well-being.
In addition to my practice, I have written two articles on tinnitus, which may be helpful for those dealing with this condition:
Tinnitus – Adapting and Coping Techniques
Tinnitus – Learning to Live with It
These articles reflect my holistic approach, combining practical strategies with emotional support for those living with chronic conditions like tinnitus.
I offer face-to-face sessions in the Bath area. For clients who are unable to attend in person or prefer remote sessions, I provide 50-minute Zoom consultations, which have proven highly effective and flexible.
I am currently accepting new clients and offer an initial consultation to ensure we are aligned in meeting your specific needs.
