Dr Santa-Marie Venter is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Erasmuskloof. She earned her MBChB from the University of Pretoria in 2007. Moreover, she served as an orthopaedic registrar at Steve Biko Academic Hospital from 2011 to 2013, gaining broad exposure to trauma and elective cases.

In addition, Dr Venter pursued a Master’s in Sports Medicine at the University of Pretoria, which she completed in 2017. Consequently, her research on concussion in mixed martial-arts athletes was published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and she presented those findings at the International Conference on Concussion in Sport in Berlin.
