Counselling became my second career after spending twenty-five years in the corporate world. At one point, I faced significant challenges with my own mental health. Seeking help was the beginning of a transformative healing journey for me. This personal experience inspired me to train as a counsellor, and I now hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which reflects my commitment to professional standards and ethical practice. During my training, I gained valuable experience by counselling NHS staff for an NHS Trust in North Staffordshire. I also worked as a Macmillan counsellor, providing support to cancer patients and their families. These roles helped me develop a compassionate and empathetic approach tailored to meet individual needs.
My own journey from struggle to healing shapes how I work with clients. I understand the courage it takes to ask for help and the importance of having a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore personal difficulties. My goal is to help you find clarity, build resilience, and create positive change in your life.
I offer professional counselling services for individuals facing a variety of emotional and mental health challenges. These include anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, relationship issues, and the impact of long-term illness. My approach is person-centred, meaning I focus on creating a safe, accepting environment where you feel heard and understood.
With experience in working with NHS staff and cancer patients, I am sensitive to the unique pressures and emotional struggles many people face. I tailor my counselling to suit your specific circumstances, working collaboratively to help you explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can work towards greater self-awareness and coping strategies to improve your wellbeing.
Sessions are available face-to-face in Wolverhampton, providing a comfortable and confidential setting for your therapeutic work. I aim to support you at your own pace, respecting your journey and the goals you wish to achieve.
Counselling can be a vital step towards regaining balance and improving quality of life. Whether you are experiencing a difficult period or seeking deeper personal growth, my experience and compassionate approach will help you navigate your challenges.
If you are ready to begin your own healing journey, I provide a warm, professional space to support you. Please get in touch to discuss how we can work together to help you move forward with confidence and hope.
