Emma Carkeek is a dedicated and passionate physiotherapist who has been supporting women’s health and wellbeing since completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2017. With experience in private practice across musculoskeletal, sports, and women’s health physiotherapy, Emma has developed a deep understanding of how the body functions and, more importantly, how it thrives when properly supported.
Over the years, Emma has become increasingly focused on women’s health, particularly in the areas of pelvic floor care and physical confidence. She firmly believes that pelvic floor dysfunction—whether caused by pregnancy, age, or injury—should never stand in the way of a woman achieving her goals. This philosophy shapes her entire approach to treatment: practical, empathetic, and fully tailored to the individual.
Emma’s love for Pilates began when she saw the transformative impact it had on her own body. Inspired by its ability to restore movement, improve strength, and support both physical and mental well-being, she committed herself to mastering the discipline. Today, she combines clinical physiotherapy with movement-based therapy to deliver results that are both restorative and empowering.
Emma provides a range of physiotherapy services with a clear focus on holistic, movement-based care for women at all life stages. Her sessions are structured to suit individual needs, with long-term results and quality of life always front of mind.
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Emma works with women experiencing pelvic floor weakness, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other related issues. She creates detailed, personalised treatment plans that may include targeted exercises, education, and practical advice for daily life.
Women’s Health Support Across Life Stages
Whether a client is navigating postnatal recovery, managing symptoms of menopause, or looking to maintain strength and mobility, Emma offers tailored support. She understands the physical changes women experience and provides care that evolves with them.
Clinical Pilates and Movement Therapy
Emma integrates Pilates-based rehabilitation into her physiotherapy approach. These sessions focus on improving core strength, posture, flexibility, and body awareness. Her clients often find that, over time, they move more freely and feel more confident in their bodies.
Musculoskeletal and Sports Injury Care
With a background in general musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Emma also helps clients recover from sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. She takes a whole-body approach, ensuring treatment not only resolves the issue but helps prevent future setbacks.
Emma is known for her compassionate and collaborative style. She makes sure each client feels heard and supported throughout their treatment journey. By combining her expertise in physiotherapy with her enthusiasm for Pilates and functional movement, she empowers women to take control of their health in a sustainable way.
Whether you’re struggling with pelvic floor concerns or simply want to feel stronger and more capable in your everyday life, Emma is committed to helping you get there. Her sessions are informative, motivating, and designed to leave you feeling physically and emotionally stronger.
