Kaitlin Blakemore – Committed to Personalised Prosthetic and Orthotic Care

About Kaitlin Blakemore

Kaitlin Blakemore is a qualified and compassionate prosthetist and orthotist who has built her career around delivering individualised care to people of all ages. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics, equipping her with both the clinical knowledge and practical skills to support her clients in achieving greater mobility and comfort.

Kaitlin began her professional journey in Brisbane, where she gained experience working with both prosthetic and orthotic clients across the lifespan. In addition to her regular work, she ran a fortnightly outreach clinic in Toowoomba, where she delivered regional support to those with limited access to clinical services. Her broad exposure to various client needs helped her grow into a well-rounded clinician with a clear focus on practical solutions and empathetic care.

Now based in Victoria, Kaitlin has joined the team at OAPL’s Flemington clinic. The move has allowed her to be closer to her family while continuing her passion for helping others through high-quality, person-focused care.

Services Provided

Kaitlin offers a comprehensive range of prosthetic and orthotic services designed to suit both children and adults. Her areas of practice include:

  • Prosthetic Limb Care: Kaitlin supports individuals with upper and lower limb loss, fitting and adjusting prosthetic limbs to meet lifestyle and mobility goals.

  • Orthotic Treatment: She provides orthotic solutions for a wide variety of conditions, including joint instability, neuromuscular disorders, and foot deformities.

  • Paediatric Services: Kaitlin enjoys working with young clients and their families, offering supportive and flexible care as children grow and develop.

  • Rural and Regional Care: With experience in remote clinic service, Kaitlin understands the importance of outreach and continuity of care for clients in regional areas.

  • Ongoing Device Management: She ensures all orthoses and prostheses are monitored, adjusted, and maintained to keep up with each client’s changing needs.

Additional Information

Kaitlin takes a caring and thoughtful approach to her work. She values open communication and collaboration, often working closely with other health professionals to achieve the best results for her clients. Her goal is always to create treatment plans that are practical, achievable, and suited to each individual’s lifestyle.

Now part of the OAPL Flemington team, Kaitlin continues to provide the same dedicated support that defined her early work in Queensland. Whether working with children, adults, or those in need of ongoing care, she remains focused on helping people move more easily and live more confidently.
