At Centre of Movement, we believe every child deserves the chance to move freely, confidently, and with joy. Based on the Gold Coast, our paediatric physiotherapy team is passionate about helping children reach their full physical potential. Whether your child is learning to roll for the first time or mastering complex motor skills, we’re here with expert support, heartfelt care, and tailored programs that put your child’s needs at the centre.
Our approach is gentle, focused, and fun. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. Instead, we offer structured therapy that supports your child’s individual strengths, challenges, and goals. From intensive therapy to ongoing support, our sessions are designed to nurture long-term growth, boost independence, and build resilience in everyday life.
We offer structured one, two, or three-week blocks of therapy designed for rapid, focused development. These daily sessions work on essential motor milestones such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. Our intensive approach helps children develop new skills in a short period, often with amazing results.
Our occupational therapists work closely with children to improve fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and independence. Whether it’s learning to dress, write, or play more confidently, OT sessions are designed to build everyday abilities and boost self-esteem.
Exercise physiologists at Centre of Movement specialise in designing tailored exercise programs for children. These programs support motor coordination, strength building, and overall physical confidence, especially for children managing neurological or developmental challenges.
Paediatric physiotherapy focuses on enhancing physical development and motor skills. It supports children in improving posture, balance, and overall mobility so they can better participate in daily life and play.
We support children with a wide range of diagnoses and needs, including:
Cerebral Palsy
Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)
Global Developmental Delay (GDD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Sensory Processing Disorder
ADHD and Dyspraxia
Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida
Genetic and chromosomal conditions (e.g., Down Syndrome, Angelman, Rett Syndrome, Fragile X, SMA)
Our therapy programs are built around:
Gross Motor Skills – e.g., crawling, sitting, and walking
Fine Motor Skills – hand use, dexterity, and control
Sensory Processing – helping children make sense of the world
Reflex Integration – calming the nervous system and improving coordination
Balance and Coordination – supporting steady, safe movement
Strength and Stamina – building endurance and flexibility
Functional Independence – developing confidence in self-care and daily tasks
We’re proud to walk alongside families as their children grow, overcome challenges, and shine. At Centre of Movement, we don’t just treat symptoms—we celebrate progress, no matter how small.
