About Me

My passion for psychology stems from my upbringing in a close-knit family that nurtured my curiosity about people and relationships. I pursued my tertiary education at Stellenbosch University, where I obtained a B.Ed. in General Education (Foundation Phase) and an Honours Degree in Educational Psychology, both with distinction. I later earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology (MA Psychology) from North-West University, with specialised training in Play Therapy, including courses in Gestalt Play Therapy.

My research focused on improving educator-student relationships in skill-based schools in the Western Cape. Continuing my academic journey, I completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (M.Soc.Sc. Clinical Psychology) at the University of the Free State.

My practical experience includes a clinical training internship at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital and Tygerberg Hospital, where I gained hands-on expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating various psychiatric conditions. I then completed my Community Service year at Abraham Esau Hospital in the Northern Cape, providing therapy to in-patients and out-patients in the broader Hantam and Karoo-Hoogland districts.

Currently, I run an independent practice in Worcester and Ceres. As a registered Clinical Psychologist, I am qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat emotional, behavioural, and cognitive challenges. I work with children (4-12 years), adolescents (12-18 years), and adults (18+ years), offering individual, couples, and family therapy.

My Services

Child Therapy

Children often struggle to express their emotions verbally. Through Play Therapy and age-appropriate techniques, I help children process their feelings, manage behavioural challenges, and develop emotional resilience.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is a complex stage of life, filled with emotional, social, and academic pressures. I provide a safe and understanding space where teenagers can explore their thoughts and feelings while developing healthy coping strategies.

Adult Therapy

Adults face various life challenges, from stress and anxiety to relationship difficulties and personal growth struggles. My therapy sessions aim to help individuals gain self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s obstacles with confidence.

Additional Information

I am dedicated to providing ethical, professional, and compassionate psychological care. Every client deserves a safe and non-judgemental environment where they can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. Confidentiality is a priority, and I ensure that all sessions are conducted with the utmost respect and professionalism.

If you are ready to take the first step towards improved mental well-being, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can work towards positive change and emotional growth.
