Fully accredited by the Association of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists in Ireland (APCP) since 2012, Barry creates sessions tailored to each client’s needs.

Barry uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as his main approach. CBT examines how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours influence each other. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, clients learn ways to improve mood, manage stress, and handle challenges effectively.
CBT is highly recommended for Anxiety and Depression. Research shows it provides measurable results for a wide range of mental health concerns. Barry guides clients through structured techniques to challenge negative beliefs and build healthier habits.
Clients can attend in-person sessions in Tramore Medical Clinic during weekdays or schedule online Zoom sessions in the evenings. This flexibility allows people across Ireland to access professional counselling from home.
Barry also delivers workshops and talks on mental health and counselling. He tutors students at the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences, sharing his experience and expertise with the next generation of counsellors.
Sessions cost €70 each. Appointments run from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. Zoom sessions are also available on weekday evenings. Missed or same-day cancelled appointments are charged in full. All communications remain confidential.
Barry believes that talk therapy can help people create lasting improvements in their lives. Using a mix of CBT, traditional counselling, coaching, and personal development, clients develop stronger coping skills and improved wellbeing.
