Welcome to Bath Psychotherapy Practice. I am Melanie Bloxham, an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. My practice is located in central Bath, just two minutes’ walk from Milsom Street. I provide a calm and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
I offer individual psychotherapy and counselling. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and exploratory. While therapy takes time, together we will work towards understanding how you can think, feel, and live differently. This process will help you feel less alone in the journey.
With my professional experience, I work with a wide range of issues. I look forward to assisting you on your path to healing and self-discovery.
At Bath Psychotherapy Practice, I offer various services tailored to meet your unique needs. Therapy is deeply personal, and I am here to support you in navigating your challenges.
Psychotherapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and emotions. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma, I can help. Together, we’ll uncover the root causes of your difficulties and find a way forward. We’ll work at a pace that suits you. You’ll begin to understand how past experiences influence your present situation and how you can make positive changes.
Life transitions, such as divorce, separation, or bereavement, can be overwhelming. During these times, therapy can offer the support you need. I help individuals process their grief and manage significant life changes in a healthy, constructive way. Therapy provides the space to navigate these difficult moments with guidance and understanding.
If you suffer from long-term anxiety, depression, or trauma, therapy can help you regain control. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of your distress. I offer specialised support for those dealing with overwhelming emotions, panic attacks, or childhood trauma, including emotional or sexual abuse. By working together, we can reduce symptoms and improve your mental health.
Struggling in your relationships? Whether you’re facing communication issues or unresolved conflicts, therapy can help. I offer individual or couples counselling to explore relationship dynamics. Together, we’ll uncover patterns and explore ways to improve emotional connections and communication.
At Bath Psychotherapy Practice, I am committed to providing a safe and confidential environment. My therapy room is spacious, allowing for safe social distancing. Contactless entry is also available. For added safety, I’ve invested in a medical-grade air purifier to ensure a clean environment.
For those unable to visit the practice in Bath, I offer online therapy through my trusted colleague, Dr Ralph Holtom. He provides psychoanalysis and psychotherapy via online sessions.
I am registered with the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC), the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). These affiliations ensure I adhere to the highest ethical standards.
If you are ready to make positive changes in your life, please get in touch to schedule an appointment. Together, we will work through your challenges and help you find a path to emotional well-being.
