BLOEMVASCULAR is a premier vascular center situated in Fichardt Park, Bloemfontein, that specializes in arterial and venous pathology. The practice is led by Prof. Asha Malan, a distinguished vascular surgeon with an impressive career. She earned her MBChB from the University of the Free State and later completed her FCS (SA) as well as a Certificate in Vascular Surgery. In addition, she honed her expertise internationally in the USA, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Prof. Malan previously headed the Vascular Surgery Department at the University of the Free State and Universitas Academic Hospital until May 2024. Notably, she became the first woman elected as President Elect for the Vascular Society of Southern Africa (VASSA) in 2023. Furthermore, her passion for innovation led her to establish BLOEMVASCULAR in June 2024, where she provides a modern, patient-centered approach to complex vascular conditions.
